Tasting Notes

Aromas of black currant, bright cherries highlight this wine.  The palate is filled with luscious dark fruit flavors of blackberries, black currant, and cherries with a bold mouth-feel and velvety tannins to finish.

Pairs With

Protein – beef steak, roasted game birds, wild boar, chicken, veal, venison, buffalo, pork, rabbit, duck, lamb, meat balls, pork, meats-pasta-pizza with red sauce, pulled pork with barbeque sauce.

Cheese – Fontina Val D’AostaPecorino Toscano, Taleggio, Parmigiano Reggiano, blue cheese.

Vegetable– Root vegetables and braised greens, mushroom, asparagus, truffles, beets, arugula, garlic, asparagus, bell pepper, spinach, capers, broccoli, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, onion, olives.
