Tasting Notes

Forward notes of black currant and cherries fill the nose of this wine. The palate is loaded with rich dark flavors of ripe blackberry, currant, cherry and leather with a sultry mouthfeel and well-structured tannins.

Pairs With

Protein– Beef, venison, sausage pizza, blackened salmon, salamis, duck confit with demi-glace, pates, and swordfish.

Cheese– Parmigiano Reggiano, aged asiago, fontina, gorgonzola, Pecorino, Sharp White cheddar, Gruyere.  

Vegetable– Grilled eggplant, caramelized onion, mushrooms or truffles, garlic seasoned squash, spinach and legumes.
